Dr. Caryn Bello is a licensed clinical psychologist, community educator and public speaker.


Education

Dr. Caryn Bello has over twenty years of experience practicing as a clinical psychologist.  She earned her Psy.D from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, was a Fellow at UMASS Amherst Health Service, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Harvard University. She is a professional member of the Massachusetts Psychological Association and the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association and seeks out additional training in the field of body image and eating disorders.

Professional Experience

Dr. Bello has maintained a private practice for over 20 years.  In addition to that clinical work she has also held clinic positions at Harvard University Health Service and UMASS Boston Health Service.  Dr. Bello was a member of the eating disorder team at Harvard University where she collaborated with clinicians of multiple specialties to care for complicated cases.  In addition to clinical work she has been actively involved in prevention of mental health issues in the community through teaching and public speaking.

Teaching & Presentations

Dr. Bello’s teaching experience includes 5 years of facilitating a self-designed health and wellness course for the Commonwealth School in Boston.  Dr. Bello has also conducted presentations and facilitated workshops on the topic of body image, eating disorders and self-esteem at Harvard University, several Boston-area elementary schools, Parent Talk of Needham, and the Junior League of Boston.
